I just got back from my first ever alligator hunt. It went well, but I couldnt stop wondering how the guide(driver) actually saw the gators in the water.
He just looked around with the light on his hat, looked up and down, back and forth, and out of no where.. Theres a gator.

How in the hell does he see them? There has to be a trick to it or something. He says he "reads the grass"
