Hey everyone i have a baby 2.5 month old corn snake. I feed it approx 23 times a week pinkys. I want it to grow really big and fat quite fast and not have to wait like 5 years . any tips on how to make it grow big fast?

corn snakes dont grow very fat just wait or feed it more like 45 times a week or you could feed it different foods

I dont think corn snakes get very big. I think any animal can get fat though maybe you should try expanding the tank. sounds crazy but snakes adjust to their surroundings especially while hes small. I would not suggest that you over feed him cause like anything they can get greedy and expect it.

If you wanted a big fat Snake you should of gotten a Burmese Python or something like that not a corn snake they are long and skinny and stop over feeding him to much food can be dangerous.

Fat is no healthier for a reptile than it is for humans. Dont focus on getting a fat snake. Work on a welltoned healthy adult.

Power feeding what you are doing can cause problems with your snakes health in the long run. It can cause a regurge. If that happens the appropriate treatment to keep from killing your snake is to slow down its feeding. Ive noticed my hatchlings that suffer even one regurge do not grow as quickly as the ones that never regurgitate.

Most corns reach adult size in 23 years. They will grow a little after that but youll see the greatest growth early. You may also notice a growth spurt next spring. For some reason many corns will grow rather quickly in the spring time. Some experts suggest this is because it puts them in a better position to compete for mates.

Be patient. I have a rescue that was about 200 grams when I picked him up. After three years hes well over 600 grams and nearly five feet long but not fat.
