No Ball Pythons Royal Pythons are nocturnal snakes and so do not need a UVA or UVB light. However most do enjoy occasionaly basking in the sunlight so if you have an hour or so take your snake outside on a hot day put it in a bin and let it bask with you there to watch them of course. So long as your have an undertank heat pad NOT a heat rock and the proper temperature gradients the snake will be very comfortable.

I use a regular household lightbulb in a heat lamp on my ball python
