i was wondering how you heat up the water for a tropical fish. do you just use a light thats in the cover and keep it on or what?

i have had lots of success on breeding guppy's and now i want to breed a fish that lays eggs that wil not grow very big
( tetra - dwarf guarmi size)

please can you give me examples of fish.
also a fish that wont eat their own fry , lol if any dont

I have a big tank and i breed guppies and balloon mollies, about to be platys, and mollies. Please help. I live in texas and how much does it cost to ship fish?

First off, this question is only going to be open for one day, as I'm going to go to the fish store tomorrow. How can you make sure fish will stay alive in a tropical fish tank. I've left the water for 1 wk. Got a filter and heater. All I need is the fish, but I want the fish to stay alive, any help? Thanks to everyone who helps =0]

What are the condition should i move some fish out?

Do they lay eggs then are fertalized?
Can you see the eggs?

other than sea dragons is there any way for the fish to have the eggs in their stumach and press the babies out?

i have a 10 gallon tank. i have 2 angels, 4 very small danios, and a little catfish? what else would be compatable. snails don't work well for me and frogs seem to get huge and literally explode.

My daughter really wants a saltwater aquarium. We are going to be limited to a 10 gal tank. What can we put in it? She's been really wanting a clownfish or royal gramma. How many are we going to be limited to?

I plan on getting a community tropical fish tank with my biggest fish being an angelfish (adult), when cleaning the tank what happen to the fish, do thy need a small tank or bags or something?

I have recently decided to have fish. I am looking for an aggressive tropical fish that I could breed. I have betta fish and they are great but I was wondering if there was something else.
