News of Bird Questions

I have 1 of each and would like to know more info on them. It can be general info and NOT necessarily species specific.

My dad got her and totally forgot what the breed was.

Our cockatiel's head cannot fit through the cage bars.

or keep them call and not fly around when they get scared? my doves will stay still on my shoulder and fly around me but when they get scared they fly around my room!! Lol

I am thinking about getting a canary, and I was wondering if they are good pets. I had a cockatoo so I have some experience with birds as pets. I used to let my cockatoo out of its cage once in a while for exercise, can I do this with a canary?

I would like to know how to keep my bird warm so she isnt shaking when she comes out of the cage or anything

there were the male and female canaries and three out of the five eggs hatched. they hatched on saturday and died on monday. are there signs the birds will show if they have and parasites. this is the first time i have had canaries or any type of bird so i am new at this and would like to get as much information as i can.
