I am getting a ferret on about 2 weeks and need to know if a 30 x 18 x 36H with 7/16 bar spacing is big enough for one ferret.

Thats big enough for 2 and you really need two. Dont listen to other people they have no clue

edit: See Sondra has no clue. Only one ferret can and will cause depression. They will get depressed stop eating and die. Sondra just needs to wait a while till her ferret gets depression.

Jimmilto is right...you cant have just one. they are not solidary animals...they need a companion. at school we have 3 and my teacher refused to split them up for the summer because they need each other. We had only one at one time because another died before we got the other 2 and she was so depressed all the time. once we got the other 2 she was a lot happier Yeah the cage will be fine also.

i have a ferret. the cage is fine. and as for NEEDING to have 2 thats stupid. i have one alone. they like playing but if you have a cat or dog it will play with them too. mine plays with my cat and dog. but he usually does his own thing and explores the house when i let him out
