 Post subject: How do I convince my friend not to give her mouse away for a gerbil?

My friend wants to give her mouse she has had for a year for a gerbil. I think that is not loving to give a pet away for no reason other than that she wants somthing better (In her mind). She has told me she loves her mouse more than one time.
