The ferret is going to be more stimulating and fun for you but is also going to require more work and attention from you and I believe they have a unique smell even with the scent glads removed.

Ferrets are fun pets to have but if you have other animals like cats or dogs the ferret will bite them. I had a ferret and it killed my little kitten in one bite. It would bite my dogs too and hurt them too. Ive never had a chinchilla but rabbits do make good pets. Their cages can get very messy though pretty fast. Ferrets are really clean because they use a litter box like a cat. Im not sure which would be the best.

Im a vet tech and ive had ferrets and rabbits. Ferrets need alot of time outside the cage but with a big warning they are escape artists. Their supplies are very expensive and they like companionship like another ferret. My ferrets get along with all my other animals without any problems. Rabbits are probably easier but they too need time outside the cage and like companion ship just spay and neuter them or youll have 50 new small pets instead of 2. Rabbit supplies are a little cheaper. As for chinchillas i have never had one for a pet but ive worked in exotics clinics and they are nice little pets just do your research on all 3 of your choices and be well educated
