He is only 5 years,every 5,10,15 minutes he kind of cry's and whimpers,and moves like he is uncomfortable.BUT i think it might just be our cat that is making him do that because she bites him and jumps on him.I got some more money in my bank today so i might be able to take him to the vets,but its up to my mom.

Not enough information. If you feel that the dog needs to see a vet, then my all means take him.

If your cat is nowhere near him then its not the cat and he needs to see the vet if hes in pain.Take him to the vets asap.

Sometimes fleas can make dogs annoyed and you should try giving him a bath that might help!But if that doesn't help you should probably keep the cat and dog separated maybe try things to climb on for your cat and some toys for your dog so that they have better things to do than hurt each other!

If the dog is acting uncomfortable, sluggish or just out of sorts it could be a sign he is very sick.

Check how his gums look? How long has this been going on? Does he act normal other than when he is lying around? Eating, pooping etc?

Sounds a lot like a friend who's dog bloated but I'm not sure how common that is in dachshunds.

You know your dog best, better safe than sorry, I would take him to the vet

If you think your dog is experiencing bloat google some more symptoms and check your dog for that. Bloat is a serious issue and requires immediate medical attention

ur dog might be craving attention and just wants you to play with him.. my daschhound does the same thing until i pick her up and play with her.. its prob nothing serious

Taking the dog on vet is the most important thing to ease them. It could prevent some unnecessary things that could happen. You can not diagnose the problem itself because you are not an expert to do it.
