The same thing happened to my family my mom found 2 baby abandoned birds. No matter what you do...DONT FEED THEM WORMS FROM YOUR YARD OR ANY OTHER BUGS only the mommy bird can feed them that becuase if you feed them this they will choke Go to the grocery store if find baby formula in the little cans just get them chicken flavor and mix it up with a little bit of water to make it soft and very liquidynot to much though bucuase they can drownd in the water feed the baby birdie the formula through a little squirter just a little at a time. Another thing u can feed them is dried bird worms that you can find at the pet store or bird stores ask the pet store employee for help on this. Baby birds need to eat about every 30 minutes so the best thing for you to do is call a wildlife rescue or bird expert for them to take proper care. They need to be in storage contaner with newspaper and paper towels also put leaves and pine straw in it so that the baby can nest. place this under a lamp but dont put a heating pad under it you do not want to over heat the baby. also dont give the baby any water they get the moistere from thier food such as the baby formula. Contact the wildlife center or bir expert right away you may want to clean him off with a warm damp was cloth to keep him clean and healthy DO NOT HOLD HIM OR PLAY WITH HIM the baby can pick up certain germs from human hands that arent harmful to us but are harmful to them good luck but make sure to get help you are good people for helping this baby im sure he aprecates it :D

If the bird still has fluffy down feathers then find the nest and put it back.

If the bird has feathers then leave it where you found it. This bird has fledged and is now starting a very important time in its life. It is learning from its parents how to survive. You will not see the parents but believe me they are close by. If the bird starts cheeping very loudly and seems to be in distress do not worry they are loud because they are letting the parents know where they are. The parents will still feed the bird for several days yet until it learns how to fully fly and can feed itself.

Do not try to hand feed this bird. It will never be successful in life if it does not have the training that the parents provide. Besides for very good and valid reasons you need a permit to take wild birds into your house even if it is hurt or actually needs help. If you find an injured bird you can take it to a bird rescue usually just someones house in your area and they will properly and legally care for it. Google bird rescue to find a rescue near you if you ever find an injured bird.

RECAP PUT THE BABY BIRD BACK WHERE YOU FOUND IT. THE PARENTS WILL TAKE CARE OF IT

You have to eat some bugs and regurgitate it into the birds mouth. JUST KIDDING Hamburger is a good choice to lots of animals that rely on bugs for food. Plus hamburger will have the same texture as regurgitated worm I think hamburger is a good choice.

try to feed it a worm. that always works. and if the bird is too small to digest a worm chop it up and then feed it to the birdd.

Think like a momma bird. She would feed her babies regurgitated live or dead worms. If you prefer not to eat a worm and then throw it up then you can try to find a worm smash it up a little and then feed it to the baby with a dropper or a set of tweezers.

You also want to smash up some bird seed mix it with some kind of liquid and try and feed this.

If these things dont work take it to vet.

I commend your attempts to help this baby bird but remember sometimes your best efforts may not help. Weve lost wild animals several times after trying to save them but its always worth a try.

Worms beetles. Any bugs will do really i doubt the mother bird would have been to fussy. Providing its not a poisonous spider or anything.
