I have 2 parakeets and they have gotten out of their cage and I cant get them to go back into their cage. I also have 4 cats who would love eat my birds. How do I solve this dilemma? Are there any easy solutions for this problem?

I would suggest that you finger train them. Heres a link that tells you how: http://www.lisashea.com/petinfo/articles/birdhand.html

Leave the door of the cage open with their food and water inside eventually they will go back in to eat. Dont try to scare them into the cage as they will just fly around. Just wait and eventually they will go back in

You need them to go back in soon dont you?
Maybe you could try coaxing them in with a treat. Maybe some bread or grass whatever they go nuts for and put it in the cage.
Otherwise darken the room a little and they might go back in to the cage to roost thinking maybe that its night time.
Another suggestion is to chase them around a bit until they are really tired and catch them with a towel or tea towel.
Next time you let them out clip their wings not fully but enough to make flying a little bit harder so they cant fly too far but can still fly a bit. That way you can still grab them when its time for them to go back in.

first tip: round up the cats into a separate room until the birds are safely in their cage.

while theres no easy way to get them back in if theyre not finger trained there are a few things to try:
if theyre at all protective of their cage try touching it moving things around in it or playing with their toys. they may return to the cage solely to protect their area.

also if they have a favorite treat try placing the treat in the cage assuring they see you do it.

another possibility would be to move their cage to a different odd location. perhaps even higher location than its normally in again could make them curious.

if you do the treat/or cage moving thing try to position yourself behind the birds so theyre sandwiched between the cage and you.

hope one of these works good luck
