 Post subject: How serious can parrot mouth be in a horse?

I am not looking to breed the horse. It would just be for riding. She has had parrot mouth all her life and hasn't had problems with it. But her owner hasn't had anything done for her teeth in over 6 years and they are worn down and gums seem a little discolored. Other than this it is a great horse but i don't want to put a bunch of money into medical bills. What should i think about the horse?
